European Deputy criticized possible US radar
18.11.2008 - Prague Daily Monitor
Giulietto Chiesa, a famous Italian member of European Parliament, visited Czech republic to meet with the mayors who oppose the proposed American military radar base. Chiesa also spoke at the conference held in national Parliament in Prague. He criticized the whole missile "defense" project and particularly its planned European part.
"According to Chiesa, European security must be negotiated on European level. Bilateral Czech-U.S. and Polish-U.S. talks weaken the EU and the missile defence shield, installed on Czech and Polish soil, would worsen the EU-Russia relations, he said."
